I am thrilled to bring you my first ever interview! I’m not gonna lie, even though I’ve known this guest for years, I was still nervous. Doing anything for the first time can be nerve-racking, and even though we had some first interview technical difficulties, we powered through and made it work.
And speaking of work, let me tell you about today’s guest – Lauren Barbalich.
Lauren is co-owner of Truly Haute Candles, a full service decor rental company based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that specializes in candlelight for events. But wait, there’s more.
Lauren’s also a full-time paralegal and project manager for the Louisiana Attorney General’s office and works on some pretty high profile cases. Her husband is a corporate pilot, and as you can imagine, frequently travels for work. Lauren’s also a mom to three adorable cotton-topped kiddos under the age of four. Her youngest is 5 months old and is so cute, I can barely stand it.
It’s safe to say that Lauren has her hands full, and she has found her own way of doing what she loves – which made her the perfect person to kick off It’s About Time interviews.
During our chat, Lauren opens up about to-do lists, priorities and taking time for yourself. She also shares her number 1 piece of advice for when it comes to asking for help.
You’ll hear us talk about automating and delegating – which can feel a little scary if you’ve never done it before. That’s why I created a totally free guide — Automate & Delegate: A Guide to Getting Started. Click here to download now!
Tune in to hear Lauren’s 3 tips for getting things done:
-
Plan: Use a rapid logging method to write (or put in your phone) something right as soon as you think of it.
-
Prioritize your time. You can’t and won’t have time to do everything. Pick a few things that are priorities and work hard at those. Don’t feel bad to say no to the other things. Ask yourself: Does this cause me stress or does this help me achieve my goals?
-
Get help! Whether it is from a housekeeper, mother’s helper, hiring more staff, your mom village, Amazon Prime, or a system in your business like Honeybook!
Keep in touch with Lauren!
