Have you ever felt really busy, but not sure you’re getting anything done?
You’re working what feels like 24/7. You’re constantly hustling on a new project, but it feels like you’re spinning your wheels. At the end of the day, there’s still tons left on your to-do list, and you’re feeling frustrated.
And to top it all off, you see that influencer or that productivity expert sharing how they wake up at 5 AM to do a cold plunge and work out, and how you should too. Not only are you feeling very unproductive, but now you’re feeling bad about it.
It doesn’t have to be this way, and this week’s guest is offering a better approach. She’s all about positive productivity. Meaning, productivity that is based on meaningful goals that support your vision and our values. It’s productivity that gives compassion to yourself and allows you to enjoy the satisfaction of getting things done, instead of feeling depleted because you’re working on the wrong things that aren’t getting you any closer to your goals.
MEET KERRY ANN KING
Kerry Ann is the founder and CEO of Eluminate Labs, a software development company dedicated to building solutions that decolonize tech, creating inclusive tools for human wellbeing.
After more than a decade working inside the tech industry to promote human-centered approaches to engagement, wellbeing and inclusion, Kerry Ann felt strongly that it was necessary to break free from the exploitative foundations of big tech in order to build software and applications that put people and their wellbeing first.
Eluminate Lab’s debut offering Fin – Positive Productivity, is designed to help neurodivergent adults learn about their productivity style through data and coaching.
Fin’s data feedback loop helps our users discover the insights that will help them lean into their strengths and get support when they need it.
Kerry Ann has been fascinated by how data can shape behavior since childhood. Diagnosed with Dysgraphia at 5, she started putting her creativity to work compensating for her disability at a young age. As a kid she loved the movie Cheaper By The Dozen, about the efficiency experts Frank and Lillian Gilbreth. Her parents bought her a stopwatch and after that she was hooked! She streamlined everything from her commute to school to how she took a shower during middle and high school.
Fast forward to her time in grad school studying clinical psychology, where she discovered her love of data analysis and saw that using data to understand human behavior could be a powerful tool for improving lives.
For Kerry Ann, identifying patterns in her behavior and world has helped her create a life that she loves and finds deeply fulfilling. Her goal with Fin is to help others gain these insights faster and more effectively.
She is also the proud mother of four adult children.
